The story of SAGE
Where do I begin?! Just kidding…
SAGE Baby is a must-shop online boutique catering exclusively to the cutest little ones! Our mission is straightforward, to furnish caregiver with essentials that keep them smiling as they navigate their way through the shits and giggles of having a baby.
SAGE is over a decade in the making, and of course, it has morphed a million times over the years in my mind. I’m Ang, the founder + proud owner of SAGE Baby LLC. The evolution of SAGE is a long story, so I’ll skip to the fun part - when I actually became a parent, in 2021! Crazy how that happened, right?! Becoming a mom gave me authentic insight on what parents may need for their little ones! And, after experiencing that first year of parenthood, the peaks and valleys, I knew it was time to bring SAGE to life, finally. But then, surprise – we were blessed with a second child; now, she came into the world fearlessly at 28 weeks + 2 days old, and this little girl has taken us on a new adventure through preemie parenthood. Thankfully, we are all home, healthy, and one sincerely happy family! Our two babies served as the extra motivation needed to actually do this.
Officially, SAGE has arrived in 2024, and I am so excited, exhausted, overwhelmed, and optimistic. Truly a proud mama, if you will.
SAGE isn’t just a name; it’s an acronym, perfectly-fitting for the highs and lows of the inaugural year of parenthood - shits and giggles, etc. Those first 12 months of bringing a baby home are one wild ride! It’s full of miracles, precious memories, and plenty to marvel over. It’s packed with the most precious kisses, the cutest coos, and the sweetest giggles that soon turn into belly laughs. But, to keep it real, there are also long, late, lingering nights, moments of mass confusion, meltdowns, and tears, new fears, and…those diapers, those stinky, sticky, shocking diapers - that some days seem endless. (Seriously, where does it all come from?! Babies are sooo tiny….)
But, let’s focus on the positive! Let’s keep it cute, let’s keep it cozy - and most importantly, let’s keep it fun!
SAGE is here for the parents who want to keep their babies looking good, but not mess with buttons during a blowout. We’re here for parents who want snacks handy for hungry toddlers, without a mess following their mini, impromptu meals. We’re here for parents trying to keep their babies busy, but not interested in any more cheap, flashy noisemakers . SAGE is here for all of this + so much more.
Whether you are the parent or a thoughtful gift-giver, we know you’re going to find adorable necessities at SAGE! I do not pretend to be an expert at motherhood (thankfully, I learn new things every day) but, I take immense pride in this curation of cuteness. And, I hope that you enjoy it too.
FUN FACTS:
- SAGE is headquartered in beautiful Independence, OH and offers free, local delivery, a testament to our commitment to convenience for fellow parents + community.
- Our sizes currently range from newborn to 2T, with a few exceptions for matching sibling PJs. But, as our family grows, who knows, maybe SAGE's sizing will too!
- We are not the least expensive option for baby “things” – but, we also aren’t the most expensive; our items have been handpicked, focusing on quality, cuteness, + price.
- We aren’t like other baby stores, we are a cool baby store…it’s unlikely you will see superheroes or cartoons character on anything here.
